Wow, first day of Grad Crew down. It was intense; after seven hours of lab work I did four more on my feet setting up tables for a big fancy dinner on the quad. The church was really beautiful and it was nice to be outside but towards the end I started feeling glycogen-depleted. They brought us free food around 8 pm and I have never been so happy to eat a sandwich with with pepperoncinis, pickles and possibly mayo (?) on.
I'm working again at 9 AM. My team may or may not have help setting up 4,500 folding chairs in very precise rows. The organizers don't kid around; they had a pattern that they wanted the tables in today and we had to use 10-foot pvc pipes as compass arms to make sure that they were evenly and correctly spaced.
